When are prices going back down? Or will they ever?

Not a guru:

I want to start first and foremost by saying that I am by no means financial guru. But I will say this, I do think that things being overly expensive is getting tiring and superfast. Yet, doing a quick search using one of the things that are causing an uproar in prices, on a specific hardware component in computers... AI if you're wondering. I could safely and surely say it doesn't seem like prices will go down soon. And even if they do it wouldn't be by much. From what it looks like we've already dug our own hole. The only thing we can hope for now as that wages catch up.

From a basic search standpoint it looks like the things that go down in price is what I would dare to say is the important things. Like for example gas, produce, electronics, and other things of course. But I think that most people care the most about produce and gas the most. Yet, all those things are very important when it comes to our day to day lives. To see these things come down just a bit more with wages catching up to the cost of living will be big! And I'm dying and waiting for that day to come. 

Changed perspective:

Again, based on my search, it seems, like we are heading in the right direction. But the question becomes how much longer? The fact that we are still recovering from Covid in an economy standpoint is wild! Plus, the uncovering of what was spent using our tax money to things that honestly either made no sense or didn't benefit us the working-class people is just mind boggling. It feels like we have been cheated from having our fridges filled, and enjoying the things that God has given to us... meaning traveling and other things that we have technologically speaking as well. 

It amazes me how the economy works. The little that I do understand and have read into has put things in a bigger perspective for me. I now don't think about things getting so much as cheaper. But being able to work a single job that allows me to be secured in my future retirement plans and being able to truly provide for my family without sacrificing so much time. Because to be quite honest time is something we can never get back. And the way that things have been going so much time has passed. 

I'm not one to try and dwell in the past too much. If I do look back, it's mainly for the good memories. Yet, as an adult looking back at how much more affordable things are to now cannot be dismissed. I won't say that everything is bad. I have noticed somethings shifting in prices in certain stores. Still, there are certain items that are just way too expensive and has just gone up with almost no reason. Like for example why is it that the spring water that my wife only drinks gone up to nearly $8? When we first got to this city it used to be four dollars and some change. 

Some companies use inflation as a reason:

I would dare to say that I believe some companies are just using inflation as a reason to grow their pockets just a little bit more. Most things that are made in the U.S and or materials extracted in the U.S shouldn't cause a huge increase in a lot of items. I can understand the gas and oil prices cause a slight increase in cost for most if not all companies. But a regional brand that its water is processed and comes from the same state costing as much as a national brand if not sometimes more is just wild! Then again, we still buy it which leaves those kinds of companies to continue to do what they are doing. 

Personally, if you ask me. I would love to see the day again when a husband with any kind of career can afford and provide for his family without needing another income in the household. Or for a single mother to not feel the need of killing herself with two jobs to bring bread to the table to give their kids a better life. A day where rent no longer feels like a sacrifice between eating or having shelter. But something we are doing again without sacrificing anything else. Those are just my thoughts. And whether or not will prices get lower? I think only time will tell.
